Auckland Recovery Office Update - 23rd May

Forest Hill Road, Waiatarua

Slip repair work will begin outside 346 Forest Hill Road, Waiatarua, on 13 May 2024. During the works, the road will be closed and detours will be in place.

Residents in the closed section of the road will have access to their property. The traffic management team will be onsite to help you.

The team will be repairing the retaining wall and slip and will replace the damaged kerb and channel.

  • Location: 346 Forest Hill Road, Waiatarua, Auckland (between West Coast Road and Kellys Road)

  • Work to be done: retaining wall, slip and kerb repairs

  • Start date: 13 May 2024

  • Hours of work: 7am to 7pm

  • Duration: 8 weeks (weather-dependent)

Glenesk Road, Piha - 30 April 2024

Works began on Glenesk Road on 25 March 2024.

Downer on behalf of Auckland Transport (AT) will be constructing are undertaking slip repair works outside numbers 7 and 19 Glenesk Road. This involves the construction of a retaining wall, repair of the footpath and shoulder. This work is required to stabilise the area and prevent further slips and damage occurring.  

Work is progressing well, and is on target to be completed on time.

For (duration) - Approximately 3 months, Weather dependent

Traffic management - Road Closure  - Resident only access - The road closure with resident only access will remain. This will enable our team to safely carry out work. Parking restrictions will also be in place, please follow all signage and directions from traffic management team.
