Piha R&R News Update - 2nd April
Road Repairs: Chip-sealing of Seaview Road, between Pendrell Road and Marine parade North started two weeks later than advised by Auckland Transport/Downers but is now under way. Drive slow and avoid sharp turns and heavy braking to protect the road and keep tar of your vehicle until the the work is complete and the road swept.
Skate Park: The now active Piha Skatepark Sub-Committee met again last week. Please get in touch if you would like to assist in putting together as much background information as possible to support submissions to the Local Parks Management Plan Review later this year. This will be a challenging journey, but we have enthusiasm and determination on our side.
Treasurer: The Association Treasurer has retired and we are intyerested in hearing from anyone local who has Xero experience and may have an interest in getting involved. Email us for more information if interested.
Auckland Council Storm Recovery: The Government has released more funds to Auckland Council and auckland Transport for drain clearance and flood mitigation. We continue to work with our contacts therel to get action on area in Piha that need attention. Plans for North and South Piha stormwater flooding mitigation are being finalised so we hope the finding will filter down to where it is needed.
Membership: We encourage all members of the Piha community to become members. Strong membership gives us a strong voice to advocate with Council for improved services, maintenance and infrastructure for Piha. Fees are currently $10 per member for the year.
