Piha R&R are advocating for the formation of an “Active Working Group” comprising representative from the Waitakere Ranges Local Board and the Piha and Karekare (and possibly Te Henga) communities, to work with Auckland Council to ensure that the rights and interests of the communities are protected under this plan. Please include this in your submission of you agree.

The serious implication embodied in the Shoreline Adaptation Plan (SAP) is that the actions, or lack of actions, proposed by Council for Council owned assets, will also be applied to YOUR private property. This will potentially affect property values, access to properties and insurability..
