Update from the AGM

The 84th Annual General Meeting of Piha Ratepayers and Residents Association was held on 7th January at Barnett Hall. The meeting was attended by 36 members. The Draft Minutes can be seen HERE.

Key points from the AGM:

  1. Dr. Martin Neale talked on the Piha Lagoon Water Quality project between the R&R and Auckland Council,. Healthy Waters, Safe-swim division.

  2. Matt Harley (Nth Piha) was elected President with Ken Cowan taking on the role of Secretary.

  3. Membership fee was raised to $25 with PO Box rental remaining $100 / year, effective 1st Nov.

  4. Piha R&R committee committed to facilitate development of a Skate-park facility and support submissions toward the Waitakere Ranges Track Plan Revision and the Te Kawerau a Maki Waitakere Ranges proposal.
