Piha Road & Security Update 24 April
It is still difficult to get and clear answers on what Auckland Council and Auckland Transport are considering with regard to opening Piha to the general public and with security for stickered homes.
Here is the lates we know:
Simon Fraser, Piha Community Liaison Officer, promised a “Newsletter” to be distributed to Piha community today, 24 April. It was NOT available.
The Newsletter was held up by Auckland Transport who have now had more that two months to provide some definitive information on the status of Piha Road and have failed to do so.
We understand the need for security, but a road block at Rayner Road and nothing elsewhere in Piha makes no sense.
If the road at Elevation or at Piha Look-out is restricted to 3 Tonnes, why do we have cement trucks coming through and why stop cars?
