Be Safe - State of Emergency in Place

The Piha communiny was fortunate to miss the worst of the rasin last Friday and saved from a flood event in the Glenesk Vally and Piha Domain areas. The 4.0 Metre high tide came at 3:00pm and so was falling as the flow of the Piha Stream increased. The good news is that the stream now has a deep and clear flow to the sea.

The bad weather and rains are not over and the State of Emergence is currently set to remain in place for seven days from 9:54pm on Friday, 27th January.

We know our Piha local emergency services heroes are ready to provide assistance of need. For further information go to the Auckland Emergency Management website or phone them 0800 22 22 00
