Animal management | Priority calls only | Animal Management will respond to priority calls such as dog attacks or roaming dogs.

Building inspections | Essential service support only | Building inspections only for essential service or business construction (medical, ambulance, fire and police works to help combat COVID-19 or urgent ‘make safe’ work).

Burials and cemeteries | Reduced services | All our cemetery offices are closed to the public until further notice. Essential cemetery services continue to operate, in accordance with Government guidelines.
For advice on funeral arrangements, contact your local funeral director / funeral home. The Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ) website has helpful information about what to do when your loved one dies. They also have an informative guide on how funerals are being managed during the current COVID-19 Level 4 Alert. |

Waste services | Kerbside rubbish, recycling and foodscraps collections – no change (operate as usual) | Auckland’s kerbside rubbish, recycling and food scraps collections are an essential service and will continue as usual.

| Inorganic collections – postponed | Household on-property inorganics collections beginning 26 March onwards have been postponed. |
| Bin exchanges and repairs – closed | No household bin removals, exchanges or minor repairs will be done at this time. |
| Transfer stations and community recycling centres – closed | From 6pm on 25 March, the Waitākere, Aotea / Great Barrier Island Claris Landfill and Waiheke Island transfer stations will be closed to the general public and community recycling centres are closed. |

Libraries | Closed | Visit the Auckland Libraries website to access a range of online resources. This includes ebooks, newspapers, and online courses.
If you have any library items, please hold onto them and do not return them to the library until we re-open. All book returns slots will be closed during this time. You will not accrue any late fines on library items that you are holding or requests you have not picked up. |

Public transport
All public transport contracted by AT will be free during the lockdown period.
Public transport services will only be available for those working in essential services, for medical reasons, to access essential services including get to the supermarket, and to move essential goods.
