Piha R&R spent some considerable effort in 2013 & 2014 working with Vector, the power lines company that maintains our supply, to seek improved reliability. Among the topics covered was payment for inconvenience and we insert below the information received from Vector. It does not matter which power company you use but you must be the Power Account holder and they will pay by cheque or internet banking, your choice. The Outage was on January 21st from approx 9:15 pm and power was not restored until approx 5:45 am on the 22nd January. Call them on 0508 832 867
Service levels
Even with the best maintenance and vegetation management programmes, it is impossible to eliminate outages. This being the case, Vector does provide a service guarantee payment of $50 per household or $200 for businesses where an outage duration exceeds our target of no longer than 4 ½ hours.
